Any collector couldn't help but enjoy the nice variety of Mr. Potato Head novelty products from Giftco Inc. These products were made for use in school fundraising campaigns, and were never sold in retail stores. Since 1998, I waited patiently for some local children to show up at my door with these items. Although they never came, many of these products can be found on the secondary market.
    The original list I received from the company contained an impressive assortment of licensed items. There were banks, pencils, water bottles, key chains, maze games, temporary tattoos, coloring cloths, gift wrap, and plush items...to name only a few.
    Giftco was still making Mr. Potato Head items the last time I checked, although the line has been scaled back. Their current items include gift wrap, color your own mug set, cup full of gummy candy, plush toys, art kits and a few other items.
